A bit of advice from an aging fox.
Someone just asked, “What do you seek in a partner?”
I answered, “Companionship.” Then realized I ought to mention why.
Good looks are fine, but they fade with time.
A great job’s fabulous, but that can be lost in an instant.
Money’s always nice, but it can be spent, taxed, or taken away.
Hot intercourse is fun, but there are silicone substitutes with awesome features.
Lastly, conversation or wit are great, but only if the person shares them with you.
Therefore, companionship is key. My partner has to be a good companion for me. That way I can enjoy being around them, no matter what the circumstances bring. 🙂
