It’s not Spring quite yet, but we’re pretending it is! We have a brand new sparkly welcome page to make everyone feel welcome. On the welcome page, there’s a happy new graphic with the FloxMonster™ peeking through flowers, and pretty little images pinging side-to-side on the paragraphs to carry you down the page. Aww, how cute!
New Welcome Page, Meet New Welcome Picture!
Below is the new welcome image. I took this shot in Second Life, amongst the flowers next to the ~Lantian/Flox~ shop.
Instead of the traditional “FloxMonster™ Sees You,” the caption reads “FloxMonster™ Sees Flawrs.” :-p

Paragraph Pictures lead Down the Page
The new welcome page’s “paragraph pictures” include a few oldies and a couple new ones. My favorite is the one for the “Chewins Blog,” which I carefully placed on the Blog Archive page, and which WordPress promptly ate. It’s not displaying anywhere. I don’t know where it is. So I’ll just show it here:

AI Art Comes to FloxMonster™
By the way, the fox image above isn’t stolen off a website anywhere… that’s an original art piece I created using an AI art engine with text input guidelines. I’ve been working closely with one for the past 6 weeks, training and interacting with it to get the art just right. Spent quite a bit of cash, too, because the AI tool is not free. But I’m actually having a ball with it. There is truly an art to it, if you’ll forgive the term. You really have to work with the system and learn how it processes the input you give, in order to get any meaningful pictures out.
I know, I know. People in the art world are groaning all over, “Oh no, computers are going to make all the art now. There will be no human artists any more!” Well, I challenge them to fight with these AI art engines for awhile and realize how much the humans have to work, to get what they want out of it. LOL!
(And even then, I still took the image out of the art engine and Photoshopped it!)
In conclusion I say: these AI art engines right now are TOOLS for artists, not replacements.

So anyway, please enjoy the new welcome page and graphics I made for you. Hopefully soon I can add some new shirts and fun stuff. I will get to it ASAP. I am overwhelmed with projects right now… we moved web-hosts for Coy o’Teas (the tea shop) and the new host doesn’t support the old code we were using–whoops!
So as head website chewer, it’s my job to rebuild the entire thing. Ah well, we kinda needed to update anyway.
